Antisocial Personality Disorder (ASPD)
People with Antisocial Personality Disorder (ASPD) are sometimes referred to as sociopaths. ASPD is a mental disorder that is characterized as when an individual has complete disregard for others. It requires a medical diagnosis by a trained professional and cannot be cured, but can be treated with therapy if the individual is aware of their issue and willing to seek help. While ASPD traits may be observed in childhood, most diagnoses are not made until adolescence or adulthood. The character traits below are intended for informational purposes, not as an official diagnosis. Sociopaths exhibit these traits in addition to the traits of a person with Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD).
